Our Marketplace is home to many great ethically sourced products that users can buy directly from our website. Adding a new product to the Marketplace is a two-part process. The first part involves adding a new product to the Product Management page. This ensures all of the product info, configurations and ordering details are added into the CMS. The second part includes creating a product page on the Marketplace to guarantee that the product can be seen by users visiting the site.

After logging into the CMS, select the product icon in the first column to the left. In the picture above, this icon is highlighted in a green color. Selecting this icon opens the Product Management page. To add a new product, select the green ‘Create a New Product’ button in the upper righthand corner.

This opens the Create Product page, where you will fill out all of the information needed to add a new product into the CMS.

Select ‘Marketplace’ from the drop-down menu.
There are two steps to adding a new product to the Marketplace. The first step is adding the product into the CMS, which is what you are doing now. The next step is creating a product page for your item in the Marketplace section of the CMS. After a product page has been created, you will come back to this section and use the content picker to add the Marketplace product page here.

Select an image of the artisan or farmer who made this product.
To adhere to search engine optimization (SEO) best practices, it’s important to put a brief description of the image here. This is used as an invisible description which is read aloud to blind users on a screen reader. Please keep the explanation to 160 characters or less. Note: This section is required in order for an image to show.
Add one or multiple images of the product here. For more information on how to fill out the image form and best practices, please visit this section.
The checkboxes in this section determine different aspects of how the product is purchased on the site. For a new Marketplace product, the checkboxes selected should be Is Taxable, Is Shippable, Is Free Shipping, Is Giftable, Has Quantity and Use Pluralize.

Add the SKU number for the product.
Number of products a user is allowed to put in cart.
The Price Static is the price of your product. If there are product variations, please leave this field blank and add the price to each variation instead.

The suggested products will appear at the bottom of the product page on the Marketplace. Choose other products that are similar to yours to encourage shoppers to add them to their cart.

In the righthand column, you have the option of adding different variations of your product. This should be filled out if your product has various color options, sizes or other differences.

Select the ‘Save Product’ button at the bottom of the screen to add your product into the CMS.

Select the content icon in the first column to the left to open the Content Management page. In the picture above, this icon is highlighted in a green color.

The column on the left-hand side displays the Content Directory, the navigation to all of the pages found on our site. Each page is located within a folder and, once a page is selected, content for that page will be displayed.
Use the directory to open the Marketplace folder and select one of the product pages. Selecting a page will take you to the Edit Content page and you will be able to copy the content from there.

Once on the page you wish to copy, simply select the copy icon at the top of the page to start the process of copying content.

The copy icon is on the far right of this row. Selecting this will copy the current page and makes it easier to set up a new product page with the same structure.

After selecting the Copy Icon on the Edit Content page, you will be directed to the Create Content page shown above. Using the Content Name and Navigation Text field, use your product name to create a title for the new page.
After filling out the Create Content page, you will be directed to the Edit Content page. Use the drop-down menu in the Product section to select the product that you created.

To determine the order of your product on the Marketplace, use the Content Directory to drag and drop it between other items.
Reminder: Return to the Product Management page and locate the product you just added. Now that you have created a product page for your item on the Marketplace, you can add your page to the Primary Content section using the content picker.
