Former Komen® executive joining Heifer International
Cindy Jones-Nyland to lead organization's marketing and resource development

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (March 1, 2012) – Heifer International today announced Cindy Jones-Nyland, whose nonprofit experience includes a leadership role with Susan G. Komen For the Cure®, as the organization's new Executive Vice President of Marketing & Resource Development.

Jones-Nyland's selection follows a global search for an EVP to continue strengthening and diversifying Heifer International's funding sources supporting efforts to dramatically scale up its mission and impact.

Most recently, Jones-Nyland served as Chief Marketing Officer for Lifeblue Media, a web design and search marketing agency based in Dallas. Before that she worked for several years as Senior Director, Marketing & Interactive Media, for Komen, one of the world's leading breast cancer organizations. She also worked with NewStep Networks, Oracle and MetaSolv Software Inc.

She has a degree in marketing from Washburn University and was awarded her Master's in marketing from The University of Texas at Arlington.

Jones-Nyland, her husband and daughter are relocating to Little Rock from Dallas.
