Our Work Is Needed Now More Than Ever
Millions of families both in the United States and around the world are now facing hunger and poverty due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. 821 million people go to bed hungry every night. Due to the pandemic, the number of people suffering chronic hunger could double by the end of the year.
When you give today, your gift will be matched by generous investors to help us maximize the support for vulnerable families.
Together we have been able to make a massive impact. Help us ensure the work we have done together does not go to waste.

Our Work Is Needed
Reducing poverty worldwide could do much to reduce the spread of pandemics. We have 75 years of experience that has led us to develop a proven pathway out of poverty. We support farmers and provide training so they can improve the quantity and quality of the goods they produce and build connections to increase sales and incomes.
Helping at Home
Since 2014, Heifer has helped support farmers and rural communities across the USA. This support has been vital in helping lift small farmers out of poverty. With millions of Americans facing sudden job losses, we have donated thousands of pounds of food to local foodbanks and are proud to be offering employment to food service workers who have lost their jobs. We’re also doing what we can to integrate more small family farms into our market channels.
We work with communities in 21 countries around the world as they build secure livelihoods that guarantee a living income to local farmers. A living income means thriving, not just surviving. But everyone will soon face a new normal, including farmers. We know the pandemic will impact our work moving farmers to living incomes. We’re ensuring the impact will be minimal.
